Hi folks, John and i are taking the RV out on a trip this weekend and was wondering if anyone can recommend a place for some wild camping in east sussex? Its our first trip out and would like to do some wild camping + stay on a caravan & camping site. Our vehicle is 31ft long, so just keep that in mind. Would love to hear from anyone who has done the whole wild camping thing, perhaps you could give us some tips and pitfalls.

Eastbourne seafront, at the top end towards Beachy Head (B2103). Nice spot overlooking the sea, parks and a loo nearby open during the day.
We frequently see motorhomes parked up overnight.

Thanks for all your suggestions, if anyone has any other suggestions for wild camping in east sussex, we would be very happy. Maybe i can start a book with all the wild camping sites, sounds like there's plenty of other people who would also benefit from this as much as us. (y)x

Goring on Sea, Marine Drive, 50°48'12.09"N 0°26'23.89"W

West Parade in Worthing, 50°48'22.54"N 0°24'5.24"W

Behind King Alfred Centre 50°49'29.12"N 0°10'49.28"W can be noisy there's bottle bank there.

At Peacehaven go down Ambleside Avenue towards the sea come to the Esplanade, just be careful where you park, no too near the edge and try not block anyone’s view.

Off A259 50°47'20.31"N 0° 4'16.99"E

Above Seaford 50°45'45.70"N 0° 7'51.69"E past golf course
We have used all these places.

Since 2012 but longer in my dreams
And make sure you leave early on Friday because thousands of funsters have seen these spots too now!
By the time you turn up you'll never fit that thing in .

Excellent guide here ...
A Beginners Guide to Wild Camping in your Motorhome

Frankly, parking in the street or a carpark is not my idea of wild camping and there are few proper wild camping places in England.. If you want to experience proper wild camping, head North to Scotland..

I would take Bill's advice and look for a cl.. you will have a far more enjoyable experience for your first trip than parking in the street.
