Just glueGood afternoon all, just got Bess out of storage and remembered I was over zealous opening the freezer door just before we left home last summer and split the flap. Near on £100 for replacement - any ideas for a good repair, don’t want to make it
Thanking you in advance.
Yes I was wondering if something behind or on top to give it some strength. My solution would be to fabricate a piece of rigid plastic the same size as that flap and glue it on top of the existing flap.

Or even better, plastic coated ally (with the plastic removed from the, 'to be stuck' side)Or aluminium...
Naa..... I just lick it to get rid of the frost.....Or even better, plastic coated ally (with the plastic removed from the, 'to be stuck' side)
That would stop frostbite on the fingers coming into contact with the metal. Solution!!!
Like that idea, would look ‘cool’ too - match the rear evaporator grill thingies, the shelves and outside fridge handle . Couldn’t cope with looking at tape would upset me every time I opened the fridge!!Or aluminium...
