Travelling alone I normally get through France as quick as possible using aires. This year I am travelling mid September with wife and dog via the tunnel, she wants to stay at sites for possibly more than 1 night. Can anyone recommend any sites on way through France that are near a town or village, I havnt decided which way I am going but I normally use A75 Millau but I might go via Bordeaux if there are better sites down that coast. Thanks in advance.

Check out CampingCar Parks web page
Buy an entry card on line or at the first site you use. Fees are normally 8-12 euros bought via a very good app, with water grey/ black and electricity usually included.
Many sites in or near cities/large villages.

Caution - many of the site have been recently bought from the local councils. Check reviews before visiting as some have not been 'upgraded' yet

If going via Milau, dont forget to park up near the town for a few days. One of the best towns in France. Also, make sure you visit Peyre, which is just west of the viaduct on the river Tarn

Larribal or 2 rivers at Millau are very nice, park on the riverbank if not too busy and 10min walk into town.

Beware, I may have 90 days 🤣
Well, then may be 1 euro a day half for water and half for electricity. For the latter on the outside plug you can't plug a .kettle on, the whole system would blow up.. 😂
But...I think you'd get fed up before me with the toddlers around and stadium activities...football, handball, tennis, karaté, cardio boxe, halterophily, archery, run archery...... Gypsies...oops no, that one is not a sport it's worse than covid, it's plague
Anytime dear!!😂😂😂😂
