Getting a bit fed up with UK winter now, so I’m considering overwintering in Spain for some of next winter. I’ve been around Spain in the MH but only on a touring basis usually max 3 nights on any site.
I’d appreciate recommendations of good long stay sites located somewhere between Valencia and Cartagena or thereabouts that meet the following criteria:

Walking distance of reasonable beach;
Walking distance of village/town with supermarket and a bar (or two):
Ideally no dogs site;
Heated pool;
Shop for basic provisions on site;
Pitches not too small, ideally with some privacy.

? No Dogs ? ? we have not stayed because we have a dog. ? Bob.

Los Madrilles Isla Plana, near Mazarron but you need to book.,,Fits your criteria,,heated pool,no dogs,a mile into the village,,half a mile from the beach,,,Good supermarket in village,small shop on site,,2 or 3 bars and restaurants in village.BUSBY.

Isla Plana is, I think, a little south of Cartagena near Mazaron and can get very full during winter months.

Thanks, looks like a possibility. Good reviews too.

I would recommend this site as well but for the winter booking is probably essential. (y)

When we visit it is usually at the same time of the year.

It's a perfect temperature then for me :smiley:

We stay with CCC winter sun, currently at Playa Tropicana. £15 a night Inclusive beach front, heated pool, flat, 3km flat cycle ride to pleasant town. No dogs area.
Friendly CCC stewards arranging cycle rides, club activities, meals etc.

Sitting on the patio (awning groundsheet) in 22C sunshine. It's a tough life but...

I think someone was on here recently saying that it was the same cost or less to rent an apartment for a couple of months

It's not the same in a flat,,no one to talk to.. More social on a site..BUSBY

I find some of those spanish apartments are a bit bleak out of season. Ceramic floors are cold and you haven’t got much in the way of homely comforts.
