Greetings All,

Now in Valencia and realised that we have never been to the places listed in the title (or anywhere near)

Anyone care to recommend a Camperstop or ACSI site in that coastal area.

Thank you in advance.

PS We've been to Calpe several times.

We've stayed here a couple of times. Nice, well kept site with big pitches right on the beach.

Another vote for Kikocamp - also easy bike ride into town (probably closer than other beachside sites listed under Oliva). We were there in October and it was getting very busy with winter visitors.

A third vote for Kiko. The best facilities on there are the new ones to the far right as you look at the sea. The best restaurant is on the right, just before you get to reception before the laundrette.

Camping Javea. Great town with 3 separate areas....Arenal Beach, Port/harbour and old town.

Camping Valencia is perfect for visiting the city, just outside the entrance is the tram to the city.

We were there then too on the camperpark bit where it is unlimitted electric, great for the winter heater or summer, if you use a fan. It is a pleasant walk to Oliva town, we have stayed at several sites in Oliva but this is the closest to the town. Actually prefer one of the others, but we didn't have motorbike with us this year, it also closes in the winter. We have also stayed at the other places but they don't stick in my mind for some reason.

Eurocamping just south of Olivia town right on the beach.Brit owned,,clean modern site with decent bar and restaurant..20 min safe cycle down quiet lanes through the orange groves into Oliva.BUSBY.

Daimus area camperstop.
Very secure. Showers, toilet, laundry. €6.50 a night.
Short walk to beach and supermarket.

Update on the above request.

Rolled up to Kiko Park. All was going well (note the WAS)
The receptionist asked if we had ACSI. No problem
She then dropped the bombshell that she had pitches BUT because they were Gran Confort, unfortunatley we would have to pay €24.50.

What is a Tyke living in Cornwall supposed to do?

I'll tell you what, He thanked her and left.

I got the decided impression that they were trying it on. Yes, the site was nearly full but the Thenadier (Les Mis) springs to mind, "
When it comes to fixing prices
There are a lot of tricks he knows
How it all increases, all them bits and pieces
Jesus! It's amazing how it grows!"

In other words, you'll pay what we want to charge you, ACSI or no ACSI.

We also called in at Camping Javae. That was flup as well.

@Emmitt the same thing happened to us when we went there, a couple of years ago.
It's a nice site, but we haven't been back. The last couple of times we've been to Oliva, we've stayed at Rio-Mar. It's quite a basic sort of site, and some of the pitches are tight, but we like the location, on the estuary.
It also has quite a nice bar, which is frequented by locals at weekends.
No doubt, it's not everybody's cup of tea, but we feel comfortable there.

We was at camping Javea yesterday socialising, I saw a hobby outside when we returned from the supermarket, did you try camping el naranjal they are not as popular. ? Bob.

Decent campsites like Kiko do charge more, especially for a larger pitch. We are happy to pay for Kiko.

Along the coast there’s this Aire, which is cheaper at €13.20 a night. It’s says maximum stay 48 hours but that’s not correct. We stayed for five nights without any trouble.

Thanks Bob,
No we didn't. We are heading down South so I rang one of the Camperstops in El Campello and got in there.
No dramas.

Regards

You lookin' at me????
Where have you fitted that spy in our cab???

That's EXACTLY where we are right now.

Regards

PS I've never had to give passport/ID Card details to get water but they do here.

Have you left javea then?. Or like Bob said, try naranjal?.

I can point you in the direction of overnight parking.

Sorted thank you.

I'd be happy to pay for what they are charging.
It was the way it was done. It seemed, not only to the two of us but a German couple as well, that they were milking it.
It may have been a Gran Comfort pitch but the Receptionist was VERY quick to point out, (highlighted,) in the ACSI book that they are allowed to do it.

Just to emphasise what I'm saying I've just done a random check of three separate weeks between now and the end of March.
Other than pitches on their Camperstop, they only have Gran Comfort pitches available.

Ha ha, enjoy! Yeah, you do have to do that but only once. If you return in the same MH you just get in. We like it there, the guy who runs it is really helpful, it’s secure and the beautiful beach is just over the road.

Are the bars and restaurants open along the front there?

Walked from across the road south on the beach Prom.
It was chokka with bikes, prams, three wheel scooters and gazillion folks all 'Taking the air" (and the beer) etc.
We reckon that on the prom possibly 70%-80% of the bars were open.

There is a Dutch Registered Motorhome on the private land in Javea.

It has been there since September 2019. It is the same one that put cones out to mark a pitch, last year. This was in a bid to stop people parking to close to him/her. Just rattles me that someone brings a motorhome, from a country where it is illegal to freecamp. Then, parks their motorhome on someones private land. Then has the audacity to being territorial as to who parks next to them

As far as I can see, the van has not moved since at least December 26th 19.

I would love to know where his thetford is going!
