Hi.
Thanks for reading this message.
Could anyone recommend a company for motorhome hire. We are thinking for renting for a week in late September and going to the Lincoln exhibition.
We are looking for a company in Essex, Beds or Lincolnshire are close areas.

Thanks

Used Motorholme while we were waiting for our own MH. No problem recommending them based on my experience.

Amber Leisure MotorHome Hire

I have never hired off them but these are well regarded locally.

We used Amber in spring 2014 for a weeks hire. They have some vans that allow dogs. We took our dog. The van was spotless when we picked it up from very near Luton airport.
No complaints whatsoever.

Thank you all for taking the trouble to reply.
I have got a quote from Amber, which although not the cheapest seems OK.

Hire a Hymer sorted us out
Ask for a modern one though
The classics drive like a tractor.

@JJ have you seen this? :Eeek::rofl:

I have driven both and I can assure you that the old Massey Ferguson I used went a lot faster than my beautiful Hymer.

But...

I am not interested in the teeniest, weeniest, least bit in driving any faster than the 50 mph I sometimes reach on a good stretch of road.

I potter along smoothly and comfortably, in the beautiful, sundrenched scenery, with Metallica or Pitchshifter playing through the Bose speakers (with large subwoofer, of course) and pity those that still have to brumm, brumm along as fast as possible because it is vital for them to get where they are going in the shortest time.

I always have a clear road ahead of me... ;)

It wasn't the speed I was referring to the re classic hymer but the old gear box that was hard to change gear. That felt like a tractor!
