Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced site within walking distance of Benidorm centre please?
We are looking to stay through Dec & Jan.
We would like a M/H pitch for ourselves and intend to have friends and family visit at different times over that period so possibly a site that we can rent chalets / park home or similar. Not a deal breaker if no chalets etc as they could book into a hotel.
Any feedback would be appreciated thank you.

Check out Villasol, should meet lots of funsters and there chalets for rent,
El Raco and La Terreta are also popular.

We stay at La Torreta. It's the closest to town and the staff are very friendly. Villasol is also close to the centre but is on a back road which isn't nice to walk down at night.
At the minute Torreta is also cheaper at €15/night, I think villasol is €18.

El Raco is €16.50 and an extra 5 minute walk up the road from Torreta.

Do you have a dog. If so some sites do not allow them so would restrict you.
We used El Rocca (Dog friendly)They have small chalets but they get booked up over Christmas and New Year

Good luck will be busy

Thanks, thats why I wanted to get the ball rolling now.
We do not have any pets to restrict us but don't mind well behaved animals (or people ) being around.

Makes for some interesting reading Alan. At this rate we could end up in Skeg for Xmas
it was bad last winter. we had evil weather when up near casteleon but luckily missed it from then when going south . mind went to see a friend in malaga just after the floods there it really was terrible .
a few years ago saw rincon de victoria flooded in march as we were moving up that coast.
mind have seen bridges washed away in morocco over the years as well.
you could always come to cornwall its nice in coverack, hee hee

Arena Blanca is a smaller site and slightly further out near El Raco, you'll need to book early as the Dutch and Belgiques like staying there. It is also in the ASCI book.
La Torreta is also good in terms of proximity to supermarkets, restaurants and bars. If the bad weather holds off it is fine but torrential rain caused us some issues last Xmas.

Cheers Nige - ive just been reading vwalans link on the floods from a few months ago.
I wonder how people who had pre booked got on getting refunds if they were not able to use the sites .
We must have been lucky when we have been down there on previous short breaks in the wintertime. We've hardly see any rain.

Arena Blanca is well served by local bus, fairly quiet, lots of new bungalows. We managed 1 day hate Benidorm, Altea is so much nicer and is linked to Benidorm by metro.

The floods only last an hour or two. They swill the roads and your back on pitch the next day.

We drove past benidorm a few years ago. Just hundreds of high rise hotels.

There must be something to attract Moho folk, but it wasn't for us. We only contemplated quiet places.

The clean up is quick and efficient considering it is Spain, as quick as the floods come they drain away. The staff know what to do and generally prepare for bad weather episodes and warn you to take down awnings and move to higher pitches. A little cosy two motorhomes to a pitch until floods are gone, part of the experience
