I'm a newbie
Any Site recommendations in Devon that are open now which are not far from centre's ?

North or south, in land or coastal. (y)

Hidden Valley near Ilfracombe, open all year.

A lovely site with very good facilities, dog and child friendly.

Not really close to any centres but there is a bus stop at the site entrance.

Buses go to Ifracombe to the north. Braunton onto Barnstaple and then further field.

There is a Tesco store in Braunton, An Asda in Barnstaple. Asda will deliver to the site.

I stay there a lot.

North or South ok and either inland or coastal fine.
It's a massive county. What sort of thing do you like.

We like the dartmoor halfway inn campsite.

Carnon downs in Cornwall near Truro

There are loads of sites open round Plymouth and down to the south.
We are staying near Looe. Been here for nearly 3 weeks. In all our 35+years travelling in a box all over the world we've never had some much wind and rain. Had enough and getting out tomorrow.
Good luck with your search.

Surely in a county the Suze of Devon, there must be some suggestions that are in Devon. :ROFLMAO:

Thanks every one for suggestions. Doesn't really have to be Devon.
Plymouth/Cornwall nice too.
Have been caravaning for years but then living abroad.
We have now traded for Motorhome and really just wanting to try it out
for a couple of days.

A bit closer if you are just trying out the moho, and if you can get in, try CMC site Baltic Wharf, Bristol.

Right on the harbourside and easy walking to loads of restaurants, bars, attractions like the SS Great Britain.

Thanks will look at that. Was just thinking would it be worth joining a club as we would only be using it in the UK out of peak seasons.

West wayward is a nice site west of Looe.

Basic and clean no frills.

Not been there for a few years though.

Cheers James
