This seems to be a green area to the right and below Dresden
On the way to orange we'd like to stop off on the countryside and have a good dog walk off the lead or a forest cycle ride.
That should say Prague not orange above but my phone cursor is playing up!
Heading to Prague

Just had a free book through the door from the German Tourist board all about Saxony which it seems is the area you are talking about. Dresden and Leipzig. Probably worth writing for a copy.

@Abacist
Thanks sounds good.
Do you mind looking to see if there are any off road bike rides in there - like forest trails or canal paths etc to take the dog off the lead?
This is one of the hardest things to find our when we're travelling.
Maybe it's in the index or pages at the back. Cheeky ask, sorry!

There is a chapter devoted to "The Stoneman Miriquidi" which is a 162 Km mountain bike trail through the Ore Mountains which are on the border between Saxony and the Czech Republic, brainchild of Roland Stauder a former professional cyclist and winner of the MTB Marathon World Cup in 2003 and who is from the South Tyrol.

I could either scan the pages or post you an extra copy that they have sent to us.

Thank you! Sorry to put you to so much work
They look great!
We do use googie but often the bike routes are not espec dog off lead friendly
We fetched up at Cottbus which is just before the bohemian Switzerland national park (in Germany) above Prague.
Worth knowing about this place
Open April to end October (phew) cost 12e a day including all facilities and hook up.
Loos nearby
It's on the edge of an enclosed big park so dog can run free.
Next door to children zoo with a kids train going round the whole area. Also on the edge of a huge forest area with bike paths so it looks like we lucked out here :)
