I need a phone holder for my 2015 Fiat cab. Not windscreen mounted, so stick-on, air-vent etc.
Phones big, a OnePlus 7.

What have you, and did it come from Amazon coz I need it by Wednesday midday .....

Brodit are the best you can get. Don't use the phone though. simply voice control for amazon music and pre set satnav

We have one of these it works really well it fits in the cup holder then twist locks to hold in place.

Not even in SatNav mode?

If we get a phone call co-pilot answers it as it is bound to be for her.

You can if it's preset with the route and it's not touched, but once you touch the screen while driving you have broken the law, plus with it mount legally not obscuring the drivers view, you would have to look away from the road to see it.

Stictly all that applies to any Satnav system and screen.

It could also apply when switching on fog lights etc.

What about selecting heater controls to clear a misting windscreen? Better to let it mist?

Sorry, I was not looking for and argument, I was only replying to your question with the law as it stands on using satnav on a mobile phone.

I have a CD Slot mounted one... CD [if you still use them] can still be played.

I stick mine in the glove box, use bluetooth for incoming calls.

Since we have got onto the subject, I will repeat what I have posted elsewhere.

I understand that the law applies to 'communication devices'

A mobile phone which has a downloaded satnav app with the maps in memory and just picks up GPS signals is not 'communicating' with anything or anybody.

Maybe the legilators drafted it this way so that Satnavs were not covered by this law?

Make your own you must have junk laying about. Super glue and old number plates and a bit of wood you can build anything. Look at the local tower blocks. Seriously it ain’t difficult if a numpty like me can do it.

I got one from Tesco’s a few years ago, works well.

If you can get to Halfords they sell a simple spring loaded one that clips to the vent - cheap and effective . I have the same phone as you
