We're away next weekend for 4/5 days and wondered if anybody could recommend an site/cs/cl? We are based in NW Surrey, and ideally like somewhere to the west/south within 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Proximity of dog walking is important, and until I fit the second battery EHU would be preferred. French aires have spoilt us regarding pricing

We had thought somewhere along the Kenant & Avon canal this time. but any suggestions gratefully received.

The Three Magpies pub has its own site, hookup available, at Sells Green near Devizes. About 150 yards from the Kennet and Avon canal and not far from the famous 29 locks of the Devizes flight.

We just stayed at Stourhead house campsite. If you are national trust then its £14 inc electric. There are toilets but shut at 6pm. They have wadte disposal, water, etc. Lovely little site only 5 vans

Another vote for the Three Magpies, it has all you require.
A nice pub serving good food, best to phone and make a rseervation
as it is very popular.

Thanks all, we've decided on the C&CC site at Devices, with the age discount it's only £4 more than the pub. We'll look at Stourhead but it might be to hilly for me. Even slopes cause me a problem these days
