Why not buy a good one such as an Avtex, get it from John Lewis and you will have a 5 year warranty.

I would recommend the Finlux 22. in .. had one in the van for three years .. left it when I sold the van.. which I now regret..

I bought direct from Finlux also sold by Amazon and others, about £158

I have since bought an Avtex L219DRS-PRO LED Full HD 1080p TV/DVD Combi, for the caravan as there was nowhere convenient to mount a sat digital tuner, I wanted one with both a Freeview and Satellite tuners built in .. but at almost £400 I don't honestly think it's worth the money ..

Picture quality and sound is not better than the Finlux which is LESS than half the price.. so if not bothered about a built-in sat tuner.. the Finlux wins hands down ..

Ahh dvd discs, I remember them, great big shiny discs you had to slot into the TV and they only had 1 film on! :ROFLMAO:

Seriously though, I haven't used one since about 2011 :D2

More than toes wet now!
Looking for a "budget" 12v tv/dvd as my 2 year old one from Aldi has expired.
Are Aldi TVs not warranted for three years? The 55" one on sale next week, and I know it ain't what you'd be looking for , has got a 36 month warranty. And, from memory, our 21.5" one which is over three years old had the same.
If they are don't think you'd have a problem with them replacing it as they are usually very good in that respect.

We bought a Cello 20" 12v this year with built in DVD , Great in the UK, but our plans were to spend 5 months in Europe covering 15 countries. It didn't pick up one channel in any of the countries. Called Cello and they said all the TV platforms in Europe had changed in the last 18 months so their TV would not work over there any more. Very odd as a month later we met a motorhome couple who bought an Aldi TV this year and it worked fine !!!!

It would be cheaper (and better) to fit an inverter and then all the worlds best TV's are available to you - cheap!

Our Cello 22" Traveller works fine all over Europe on terrestrial channels.

As mentioned check guarantee status as lots of aldi items have 2 or 3 years cover.
You may not get a replacement or a repair but the supplies sometimes offer a percentage back.
Also what's the fault ? Some are as simple as a 10p capacitor that needs changing. :)

We had a Cello but found the sound awful.

We switched to an Avtex and have not regretted it.

Also can vouch for the Cello traveller, we got a 20” in our MH. Plays every format I’ve managed to throw at it from a USB stick, picture and sound quality is great and a fraction of the cost of an Avtex.
