Hi There Fellow campers.

This is our first time travelling around Europe and left in June for several months. Our regular post to our UK home is being looked after by a nieghbour. On the odd occasion we need parts only available in the Uk and my girlfirend is willing to post out to us where ever we might be.
Problem is where to post to, we never book campsites in advance so it makes it diffilcult. We plan to be in Greece Tomorrow 9th August for about 2-3 weeks . When we travlled the USA for 14 years we could use a General mailbox address at any post office and they would hold it for 30 days. Is there an option for that in Greece or can somone recommend a campsite on the coast somewhere that it would be a must stay whilst in Greece and we wll get it sent there.

2nd option do any of you live in Greece for the summer and we could pop by and collect and say hi and buy you a beer of course !!!

Thank you for your help

I had my boat there for years and always used Poste Restante. Cannot be sure if it still works - give a Post Office a call.

My only glitch was choosing a port address which was a new development and did not have its own PO, but was covered by one in the nearest traditional village. We arrived Fri 1200 and discovered that PO was closing in 15 mins.. We called the PO and said we are coming in a taxi 'No problem - we wll wait for you'. Very often the Greeks can be very helpful, but there are some assholes.

Exactly my thought when I read that - unless you have 3D printing in a MH!

When I travelled in India and the Middle East we used to use American
Express offices. It was a long time ago so don’t know if you can still do that.

What about branches of your bank abroad?

Enjoy your travels. :)

Outside the large towns post is delivered to bars in Greece and people go and pick their mail up from their local bar or cafe. I know a bar near Stoupa that takes mail if you are intending to go there I could give you the details.
