Hi Sandra
I think what you are looking is called a FRESNEL LENS you can get at caravan dealers in various sizes.
Used with great success, till I went to a camera as no rear window.

plenty on ebay, I had one on an old van but after a year or so it became very cloudy with some form of bacteria growing between the layers so be prepared to renew it occasionally.

There's a more basic point here.

Most MHs are converted from commercial vehicles which have the mirror in the centre of the windscreen, presumably because that fits both RH and LH drive. But many British MHs have ' the usual facilties' to the right of the vehicle, so the rear window is to the left... and view in the mirror is pretty poor.

If the mirror was offset to the nearside, we'd get a much better view. As it is in addition to side mirrors and a camera, I've no wgot a stuck on mirror in front of the passenger seat area, which improves the view.

Why don't the manufacturers do this?
