two days!
Just got our first camper 6m 4 berth and looking for a reasonable rear view camera set up ideally not wired but easy to fit any ideas please

Initially I fitted a 120 degree wide angle camera to the van. It was really useful for reversing, but to get a good view to do precision reversing, it had to be pointed down and I couldn't see anything beyond about 3m from the rear bumper. Also, even if you do aim it higher, 120 degrees as rear view makes everything beyond about 1 van length away just a dot. It's useless on the motorway.

I upgraded to a twin camera setup. It's normally on rear view with a 60 (corrected!) degree camera (which I think is still a bit wide) and a 120 degree camera pointing down for when I select reverse:

Definitely need two cameras as Guigsy said. You definitely don;t need to pay someone to install an expensive system, although I understand why some like the reassurance this gives.

I already had a single reversing camera installed, so I bought this as well:

It gives me a front/rear recording dashcam and a full-mirror sized display. It's not wireless, but you can buy adapters if you wish. I just bought an extension cable and routed under the van and into the cab via an existing cable run.

Over the next month or so I will be experimenting with this, or something like it, and will report back on the forum. It seems too cheap to be good enough!

I'm now camera crazy.... I'm thinking of installing a camera on the left mirror for awkward junctions, the back of the roof looking forward, and also one showing the grey-water dump, I will wire them into a small push-button control panel on my driver's door armrest, so I can select the view I want displayed in the rearview mirror screen.
