The monitor in the cab is now showing like this
my guess is the snow in the Alps may have affected the electronics in the camera mounted on the back (maybe condensation)
Anyone had similar or know if it's likely to be:
a) the camera
b) the wiring
c) the monitor display

This is the last on my list of jobs to do :D

All of the above I am afraid. The only way to tell is to eliminate.

when you go to menu settings can you read the text? if so the monitor is ok (probably)

Reset the unit and recheck once the weather is warmer and see

try another input to the monitor.

If camera, you need another monitor to check the output

If wiring.... forget it. you will have to take your camper apart to trace it (probably.)

You could scrap the system and replace it with a cheap wireless set up from ebay. simple and works.

These rear view systems are cheap Chinese stuff and if its the monitor you can pick one up on amazon for around 30 quid. My one is identical to the one above.

Hope this gives you some ideas. Best of luck

Mines been doing the same, initially it was blurry and I thought I had a cobweb or something over it, but now it's showing lines with some rear vision looks the same as yours, it's on an eldiss auto quest. Not checked it out yet as need ladders pulling out.

Given that the camera is the part of the system most exposed to variable conditions
I think i will order a new camera it's also the cheapest part plug the new one in and see if it works

Had similar lines on ours after a thunderstorm. After a few hours in the sun it started working again. I'd have thought that if you can get to any plug and socket at the camera end if you unplug it and it stays the same the fault is towards the monitor; if it goes blank then odds on its the other end.
