Is this a problem on sites, with regards to pitch length?

Are there any recommendations regards to manufacturers of such an awning?

I think it will depend on the length of you MH and the sites you use.
I have seen rear door awnings on some Caravan Club sites.
I also spoke to a MH owner and he used a freestanding Khyam Screen Dome pitched adjacent to his MH and said it was ideal solution for him.
Have a look at Khyam awning you should find something suitable.
