i have a burstner T690 and i am thinking of putting a cycle rack on the rear.
is there a weight restriction? Not the plated weight but strength weight for frame.
and any other advice please

If its a newish van it will have mount plates and you will be able to get a factory but custom made to measure Fiamma or Thule to fit.

the burstner dealer at taunton has refused to put a cycle rack on my van as i said i wanted to put one ebike on it weighed at 20kg. they say they have a responsibility to other road users etc etc etc. A truly amazing reply

I carry two ebikes (batteries removed) on my Fiamma rack on the back of my '05 T680. I fitted the rack myself after I had contacted Burstner who sent me a drawing of where the reinforcing is fitted within the back wall.

We have a Swift Escape 674 and two e-bikes.
Mine is a nice lightweight Ribble, only 16kg but Julie’s is a much heavier Trek at 23 kg. Was advised that they were too heavy to ‘hang off the back’ (which would have obscured the rear window anyway) so we went for the Thule tow ball bike rack.
Well happy with it and no heavy lifting! Just amazed at how all that weight, including the rack, doesn’t fall off the tow ball!
