Just done a comparison with my Phone App for France by picking Montendre (Twin Lakes of course) and the website is spot on with the prices shown there which were updated about an hour ago


Shame it's not an app for Europe

and where's the other countries of Europe Belgium ,Netherlands etc.

It's accurate for around here. Shows todays prices . 1.19€ average /litre.

Just paid 1.19 in Pamplona,,,,1.24 further south,,,Had to pay 1.65 in France but supermarket diesel was about 1.49...BUSBY,,,

It is interesting that diesel prices vary a lot, whereas petrol differs only a little and lpg not at all.

When do you get your pension Graham. Mena has to wait until Dec 2020. Six years after she would have got it. (thanks to the Labour Gov.).
Will be heading south end of Dec.

Can you not apply online from over here? I know that as a UK resident you can only apply 2 months before I believe ?
as a Spanish resident I can apply 4 months before so I can apply in January ( when I should have been receiving it ) for it to start in May. as they pay in arrears you won't get any until June anyway.

My 65th is in January
To apply on line you have to have a letter with codes for you to do so apparently - I have already tried and the website refused me access to the application form

Stephanie has to wait until she's 67 before she gets her pension ( she's only 56 ) so she has a really long wait

Which you should get 2 months before you are due the pension which is May, same as me, so you should receive it in March.

It does say in the info;

If you haven’t received an invitation letter 2 months before your State Pension age, you can still claim online.

Android APP Essence (Petrol) for France which does all grades including LPG with live prices
for Spain there is websites - - -

Hi Graham just on our way back now. Near San Sebastian .Seems ages since we were at Twin Lakes. . Tell Stef I've not eaten the chocs yet but starting to think about them. .

It says that it has a Google Play app, but I can't find it when searching Google Play. I wonder if you have to be in one of the countries it covers before Google Play will list it? If so does anybody know a work around for that please?

BTW you going through France ??? Twin Lakes has a bonfire party around the 5th the site closes as a site proper around a week later though the aire is still open

Not compatible with my phone it says @peterc10 as I said we use the Essence App in France (it does work in the UK showing petrol stations but not prices) and that when you install it changes it's name to Petrol

We've just travelled from the UK through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Italy & Greece. It's amazing how everyone has come into line over the last couple of years and there seems to be little or no advantage any more of playing the field. Luxembourg is of course the cheapest of that lot, followed maybe by Austria ... Switzerland is naturally the dearest.

Thanks Graham We're in France now but getting the train on 6th November so won't have time for Bonfires
Filled up at Alcampo. The good news is diesel was 1.17.9..the bad news is the queue was horrendous. Never seen so many MHs. They must have all read @PhilandMena s post

This looks good. App for Android, but not iOS.

Essence started in France. They have an iOS app called Petrol, which they say covers France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Morocco.

I compared Essence and Fuel Flash for a small town in Germany (Kitzingen) and the results look the same.
