READLY, German mags, with a little help from Google!

No! Not THOSE German mags. But their Motorhome mags. I don't know what everyone else thinks, but the German mags put ours to shame. They're crammed full of info, specs, accessories and places to visit.

READLY has been mentioned many times on here and it includes many magazines, in many languages. Including a collection of German motorhoming mags.

It's not just recent mags either. They also have up to three years back issues. Here's just one 'pro mobil'.

"But I can't read German" I here you say. Well neither can I. But our sometimes friend Google can help here. The Google translate app allows us to scan writing and read it in whichever alternative we desire.

In my case English, a little used language from Great Britain. Well the north of it anyway!!!

Here's a photo of me using my android tablet to read the latest pro Mobil mag. It's not for all but I quite like using it. Even with a little inconvenience getting the articles in focus. I can find out so much more than any UK motorhoming mags can give me.

I forgot to add that I use the search facility in Readly, plus google translate, to search for things in the German mags. For example there's a good winter tyre test, (pro mobil or Auto Bild) just in case somebody's looking for a new set.

Yes, I generally read ReiseMobil and ProMobil on Readly - my German is still just about up to scanning them and getting the general drift, and the standard is far higher than our own magazines, particularly in the level of detail in the testing. Shame they don’t also feature le Monde du Camping Car & other French magazines.

Often look at Promobil on their site, unlike UK magazines they say what they think they don't panda to the advertisers.
