Reviews......OK its almost done now but I need a few things from you to be going on with.

Take a quick look here, then pop back; I'll wait for you here. :) https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/reviews/johns-cross-motorhomes.2/reviews

Right your back..

So you can see how the reviews will build up . Apart from a written review we want to give star ratings. Look the ratings blocks I have added for: Motorhome Dealers.
  • Overall Rating
  • Initial Impression
  • Helpfullness and Attitude
  • Aftersales Issues:
Are these adequate?

What rating items should we be rating these other things on

Motorhome Insurance
  • -
  • -
  • -
Motorhome Mechanics/Service engineers
  • -
  • -
  • -

Motorhome Security systems
  • -
  • -
  • -

Motorhome Reviews
  • -
  • -
  • -

What other items do you want to see in there so you can review them.

The star ratings should include either price or value for money

Customer service (after sales)

Yes that's a biggy. From the outset we appreciate that a member should be able to come back to the review and change things. Especially in regard the the all important aftersales.

Could add something about the handover of a motorhome and how thorough and helpful it has been.

We've read a lot about people picking up their motorhomes, only to find bits that just don't work.

Just a thought.

this is already getting bigger than I bet you reckoned (hoped) but any revisions made should be made obvious to all

A bit off-topic but I'm really getting fed up of 'sexy women' pictures & jokes - the pic on the test review is SO out of context I don't even find it funny. Sorry, and I'm not being prudish, I just find it gets tedious.

When reviewing insurance the price you paid isn't really relevant because it's something that's specific to every person.

Person A's £70k gin palace is obviously going to be more expensive to insure than Person B's £8k PVC.

Even a comparison between companies doesn't mean a lot because all the underwriters use different risk profiles. A company that is 500% more expensive for one person will be the cheapest by a long way for another.

I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
Opened up a bag of worms here ehh? I'm with mo on the location, if you have had good service from for instance a mobile Hab service/engineer. People could search for a suitable service in their area.

OK I've added a few categories and the review fields you asked for, please go ahead and make some reviews.

  1. First see if the company is there, if they are, click on the review button and follow your nose.
  2. If they are not there, then add them. Remember when you add them you are not reviewing them, just adding their details to the database.
  3. Once you have added them...... find the company, product etc and proceed as 1 above to add your review (y)

Here's a biggy : Habitation Tests and in particular the use of intrusive vs. non intrusive damp meters. perhaps split up as follows:
1. General service provided e.g. use of courtesy car.
2. Follow up call after hab. service
3. Damp meter testing
4. Electrical knowledge and reliability
5. Did the company request the owners permission prior to going ahead with any repairs or changes?
6. Value for money.
