I have an older year 2000 Hymer, and have found a fabric that I like. Are there any companies in Scotland that can re-upholster, or is it a trek to Yorkshire.

Hi Stealaway , I'm told you need a specialist to supply and fit the new foam to the front seats ,eledgedly the foam is the hard bit ,anyone can do the reupholstering .Told to me be a caravan upholstering company who could not do what I wanted because the seats are made up with special foam and shaped to suite the frame and it is expensive and a specialist job .Unless they just did not want to do it lol,no sure.
You may have to find a auto upholstery specialist locally I'm sure they will be familiar with various foams and firmness.
Although I have seen local upholsterer replace foam and they shape it with electric carving knife - not rocket science.
Have you seen the foam construction under your covers? You may be surprised how crude they are.
My local company are a man and wife who reupholster everything and anything - nothing phases them and are more than helpful.
I had my front seats recovered and they had to take my seat covers apart to reuse the original fabric, replaced the vinyl with leather for a total of £200 for both front seats. Regent quoted £700 per seat and NOT matching the original fabric.
