I'm a newbie
Hi, The upholstery in our Chausson 510 Welcome needs replacing. The cream faux leather initially looked really nice but now the surface is virtually shredded. The "go to" company for this seems to be Regal. We have a quote from them but 2.8k is rather more than we hoped to pay. Can anyone recommend another upholsterer not too far from Sheffield/ South Yorkshire please so we can at least compare prices?
Thanks- Ann & Pat.

We’ve also had good service from Care-a-van. Although they’re in S Birmingham they’re convenient for motorways.

We have had deep joy from the service, price and results delivered by Belfield (Belfield Direct Ilkeston Derbyshire) and would happily go to them again. Apparently they do a lot of work for caravan manufacturers.

I can vouch for A1 Trimmers at Knottingley
did a great job on our van and very reasonable
Things could be different now but three years ago they promised to make me a single covered foam sleeping pad. They had me going to collect three times, every time it was come back next week. Very poor service. I am glad small firms get very busy but if they can't do the job they should just say so. PS I never did get the foam

Thanks for all the info fellow funsters. I shall ask for quotes from all all companies recommended before making my decision and parting with my hard-earned cash. I suspect I shall still be voicing the Yorkshire war cry!

I've just seen you are from Sheffield.
I had my Fiat seats changed to leather by the shop next to the old Embassy ballroom. - Try them

Regal Furnishings.

We were delighted with the service from Regal Furnishings Ilkeston when we moved from cloth to full leather is our Autotrail a few years ago. Our friends have also just used Regal Furnishings (in December 2022) to upgrade their motorhome to leather and they were also very pleased with both the price and excellent service.

we've had 2 motorhomes done by Regal and 2 self builds done by Reluxe, we both thought Reluxe was the better finish.

Regal, Furnishing did our Concorde while we waited overnight in their yard on hookup. Part leather, Bridge of Muir it was. Very nice. Good team there!

We used A1 Trimmers at Knottingley. They were great at redesigning occasional bed and reupholstered our whole van.
They were so reasonable we got them to reupholster our dining room chairs. They have a limited stock of fabrics but would imagine they would get in what you wanted.

Always had great service from Regal
Same here - we had our 1995 Hymer B544 reupholstered by Regal in 2001 - 21 years later we are going back to them to get the drivers seat arm rests redone using some extra material we bought at the time - the rest of the van is still as good as when they did it!

Regal - traveled down from Scotland and arrived about 4.30pm. Chose the fabric we wanted. Overnight in their carpark with EHU. 7.30am they started with avengence on the work and finished a complete re furb. of our Adria MH including curtains and cushions by 3.30pm. Couldn't fault the work or the workers - very meticulous.
