washed and cleaned the dust off from its garaged life
These are awesome machines, I worked for a horticultural machinery service & repair centre when I was a lad & spent many happy days changing the clutches on Howard Gem's etc, it was a doddle due to the build quality,
I've seen them dragged from the bramble bushes, fresh fuel & they fired up instantly.

Great machines. Used one as a lad. Built to last and do a good job.

I had a Howard 350 years ago and made a couple of implements for it, great machine. My pal had a newer one with the Kohler engine on it, solid piece of kit !

350 years ago! Wow they obviously last then, but if you don't mind me asking how old are you now?? ?

Borrowed one when we had the orchard, not the model in the photo (post #3), bloody brilliant piece of kit!
From Memory it had 3 forward gears , and a reverse too.

I had a Gravely at the time, and thought that was the bees knees, but the Howard was a superior machine.
