Rapido

Yes, happy to.

Mines a 2010 9095DF island bed layout. Into my 5th season with it now, comfy and seems well put together. I've been off to Europe a couple of times, did Scotland last year, towed my car on a trailer happily etc etc.

Anything specific you would like to know just ask away

Regards

Jim

Yes.
we imported a LH drive 2011 9095df from France. This very forum is a wealth of knowledge, and in joining this merry, mad band of fellow campers/Moho owners gave me the confidence to bring one home. We had our Rapido for 5 years. Mostly trouble free, great build quality and more storage space than you will ever need....but do watch the weight. Most A class’s need to be on a maxi chassis, hence we changed to our present Rapido. Sadly, not an A class, but still a Rapido.
Good hunting

Let’s face it.....any Rapido is better than no Rapido!!!!! :ROFLMAO: (y):ROFLMAO:(y)

We've only had ours since February last year, so haven't really had much opportunity to use it yet :( But on the weekends away and our 2 week trip to France last September it was great. The 9094 layout really works for us and the storage is great. One thing I was nervous about was the Truma heating....our previous MH had Alde which I loved. But the Truma seems fine too and isn't noisy. In terms of build quality I'd say it is good: we've had a couple of little things (cupboard catches breaking, a cracked waste tank cap) but nothing serious. And not many rattles when travelling.

The point made above about the chassis is a good one - many of the ones plated at 3700kgs don't really have much payload. We couldn't find the model we wanted on the heavy chassis though so had to budget to upgrade the suspension so we could uprate it to 4.2t.

As others have mentioned be careful with weight. We have an A class which was rated at 3700kg on an alko chassis. When fully loaded for a month away came in at 3650kg on the weighbridge, so we contacted SV Tech who helped us to uprate to 3850kg. This gives us the extra 150kg and piece of mind.

Forgot to mention we love the van good build quality, and plenty of room to store all our kit, bikes etc.

Not an A class, but a C-class. We are exceptionally pleased with the build quality. Everything is solid, very cleverly-designed and, we feel, with an eye to beauty, form and function. I’m sure there are many others with the same attributes, but Rapido ticked all our boxes.

Thanks all for your help, we definitely need to look at the better chassis then , we were considering 8086df no alde heating 3,700 kg and light alko chassis so we could have made a mistake. Seen a 5 year old Le Voyageur with less than 5 k miles for a little less, but Roy worries that if we came to change in 5 years, at 10 years old it maybe not worth much,

The 8086df is on the Alko chassis so I don't think a tow bar would be a problem, but if you can't find one on the heavy chassis then you'd probably want to get it uprated for payload. If you're on Facebook there's a Rapido Interest Group that you could join - you might find someone with the same model who could give you some useful insights.

We've had an 8066df for 3 years now. Can't fault it. It's had a lots of trips away, including two 6 week off-hook ski trips. Agree with above - 3700 kg would be tight for payload. Ours is on the heavy chassis.

Our first and only motorhome so far, and going on for 6 years old is an A class 881F. Absolutely love it and build quality is great, well seems to be as nothing has fallen off! Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. They are heavy so beware of payload issues. We have the Fiat heavy chassis 4250 Kg and have been away in all season including skiing for a month, in piles of snow and were very warm.

2008 9097f had almost 5 years.
No major issue, slight damp in garage due to faulty seal, sorted
Weight is a big issue, if get another Rapido will go for heavy at 4.5t we have ours up at 3850 and its only just okay sometimes.
New models imho not built as good as older ones, sweet spot seems to be 2006 to 2011 for build quality.
We re mapped engine also which helped with performance.
Very happy overall and no plans to change for years.
At the top of the range feel better vans out their for value for money.
