Rapido v56

We had a 2012 v53 for almost 5 years and was very happy with it, we only changed because we moved to Spain, we couldn't fault the Rapido build quality, we now have a Pilote v600g so basically the same layout but lefthand drive they both have the transverse bed, uprating is only a paper exercise we went to 3500kg but could have gone to 3650kg. ? Bob.

Used to love our Trigano Tribute and would have possibly changed to the Rapido, (good quality) PVC if we had not gone almost full timing, it was the bed making in ours that was a pain,I like the thought of fixed beds in a PVC but the payloads were too low for us and we need the room of our present M/H. The choice is much greater on PVC,s now and we still look at them at shows, as the makers are always coming out with good ideas on storage etc. Hope you get what you like and enjoy.

If you're a serious potential buyer - then see if you can negotiate with Fuller's to uprate the van as part of the deal [assuming you have the licence of course]

Thank you all for replies hope to go and see at weekend about 2 hour drive away so can't make it during week. Regarding payload i think it will be ok. I will be mostly using it to run to torshalla in Sweden to see my son and family and be able to take my little dog and stay a bit longer. Mala

If its on the lightweight chassis you may not be able to up plate it!

We are due to weigh our hymer 2003 , 3400kg on saturday, hopefully Not overweight just hubby and i with 1 grandchild, have 15" tyres, Front axle 1750kg, rear axle 1900kg, unfortunately can't afford rear suspension of changing to 16" wheels, hoping we could possibly up plate it, we have the lightweight chassis im sure , fiat ducato?  any advice appreciated

You really need to speak to SVtech for an accurate answer. But the lightweight chassis is designed to save weight so is lighter construction including smaller brake disks and lighter springs and axles so doesnt have the ability to be up-plated like the maxi chassis which can have the gross and axle weights up-plated.

Thank you appreciate your feedback fingers crossed, won't need to make that call, but good to know (y)

You might want to check out transverse beds I feel you get more storage for chairs and dog food with that layout, we found ours happier staying on the same brand of food. ?
Mind you if you have anything like our old labrador she would eat anything and everything. ? Bob.

I am looking at transverse beds also regarding the dog food my dog is small 10kg so won't eat anywhere near what your dog will eat so his amount of food will be easy carried.
Mala

We find that splitting the large bag of food into lots of smaller zip bags helps us to stash it in our pvc. We can carry enough for 3 months for our 15kgs dog that way.
