Calling all Rapido owners past and present ;-)

I am looking at a 2003 / 2004 786f, the picture shows the table in position and when not in position, but still shows the table post coming out of the floor, although shortened.

Does the post come right out and a cover over the hole? Also where is the table / post stored when not in use?

(Have asked the seller, thought quicker answer on here, plus would want to double check with the experts (y))

Hope my question makes sense o_O

I removed the complete table and stand from our 10001, it simply unscrewed from the floor. It is stored in our spare bedroom.
New carpet made to cover screw holes. We have small wooden folding table as a side table in the van and we use lap trays for eating.
Cheers
Ed

I removed mine completely (Do you know it weighed in at almost 25Kg!!) and its stored against sale. I have a swivelling one on a post supported by the Seat boxes. It`s Peeing down here at the Mo. But I will post pic`s perhaps to-morrow. It works OK for 2 of us and is very versatile. If I need to I can remove it completely.

Pics would be good, it is just two of us plus one large one tiny hound dogs

I also removed mine completely. It’s also 786F. 2006.
Although it must rank among the best moho tables in terms of design and build quality,it is too big,and also very heavy.
It’s held down by,I think,6 or 8 screws which came out easily, and is now stored in my garage.
In its place we use a much less elegant, but very practical lightweight table that goes away in the moho garage when on the move.
Great vans aren’t they, the build quality at that time was obviously very good.:)

And,I meant to add.......yes the post comes out easily as well.

We have left ours in position. It is bulky but as we don't have lots of kitchen work surface ( in common with lots of other motorhomes I suppose ) it is useful

We have a 787f and love the table,we regularly seat four around it,I know it's quite big but folds in half,a really clever design and don't forget that it makes the base for the front bed.

My old 786f also had a folding table, which also slides and swivels so doesn't get in the way. Great layout btw, would still have mine but couldn't get on with the french bed.

I don't think the post comes out in order to store it whilst travelling etc as they're meant to stay put, obviously some people have removed them by taking out the screws/bolts etc, but they are normally fixed to the floor. When we had a Rapido I removed the table top as it was massive and way too heavy and I replaced it with a much lighter top ... I nearly did myself an injury carting the Rapido one out the door!

I have a 999M and have removed the table which is in my loft. It is very heavy and as theres only two of us we use a smaller tabletop on a Desmo leg that is easily removed.

Any chance of a picture and more details?

Thanks all for your input

We have a 9048 and absolutely love the layout and particularly the table. The lounge area is massive anyway and to be able to sit oposite each other with so much surface area in any configuration, is something we really would miss. We leave ours pushed against the drivers side wall all the time like a sort of dinete, for a 6.5 meter van the interior seems vast, love it!

We removed our table from our 2017 10000DFH model, it was mahoosive and took up so much room. I got a chippy to make up a much smaller one and stained to match the same colour as the cupboards. Bolted that in place and now been in there for 2 years with no issues, no idea why they make those tables so darn big that it takes up so much space, we struggled to get round ours so it had to go. When i looked at some other rapido models which had smaller tables i got some quotes and they wanted stupid money to purchase (over 1k). I think in the end i paid £250 which was a lot but it matches the decor nicely and is nice and thick so will outlast me. :) the original one is in the house loft just in case we sell the MH later on (no plans too)

Hmmm, I keep reading these table posts and it gets you wondering, should I, could I, would I? Never been concerned about the table I guess, but there are occasions when its size is a bit of a pain, but not so as to be "OMG, I so can't live with this". There's just the two of us and fortunately, we are both still very able and agile to negotiate the table when it's opened out. I suppose until we see a 7099 with the table taken out and something else stood in its place we won't really know whether a change is for the better for us :giggle:

each to their own, if it doesn't bother you then why change it, if it does change it quite simple really.

we have had a 987 and now the 9090. same table. suits us. need a fair size to whip SWMBO at scrabble :D . when there is just the 2 of us, which is most of the time its swivelled round over the side seats.

Ours is 2012 a 966dF has the fixed table which can just slide forward and backwards. It is a bit big and if we had had the option we would of got the fold over type but it is well fixed down and too big a job to move temporarily leaving bolt holes etc in the flooring (we don’t have carpet as have dogs).

Once sat at it it’s great and very useful just a bit big to climb around sometimes.

Leg is off centre so there is some adjustment. Removed completely for travel. Top from accessiry tent at a show. Desmo leg and ends from any accessory shop or internet. The leg etc is ali so the whole thing is very light. If theres more than two a bigger tabletop could be used.
Unlike some Rapido layouts the table isnt used to make up a bed, its four berth, two doubles both can be left made up though we only use the drop down one for storage.
