Hoping someone can help. We have just imported a 2005 Rapido with a Citroen Relay cab and 2.8 engine but I need to know which chassis it has for the insurance. It has an AlKo plate on the engine and measures 3.8 wheelbase. 6.8 in total. Thanks in advance

Probably alko, have a look under the rear at the galvanised part ,will have AL-KO STAMPED on it and it will have independent suspension.

I think you've answered your own question.
Citroen weren't built with an Alko chassis.
Once upon a time they were delivered with a complete rear wheel assembly and the whole lot was chopped off and scrapped and an Alko chassis bolted on.
Nowadays, the cab is bolted to another cab, (a sort of Dr Doolittle, 'Push me, pull you'
The two are separated and an Alko chassis attached.

Thanks to you both for your swift reply. So would you say a LWB or MWB? The drop down on the insurance form had about 17 different options!!! Ie: 1500 HDI SWB

A wheelbase of 3.8m would suggest its a medium. The long wheelbase is over 4m and the short is around 3.5m.

Thanks for the help. Does anyone else have a left hand drive one and if so can you recommend a right wing mirror extension ?
