2010?
Have I missed something ? Didn’t think rallies were happening this year but down in Cornwall camp site there’s a leister east rally 40 vans ?

Just a lot of people that have by some miracle booked the site at the same time from the same area and they know each other through the same club or whatever.
These things happen !

There are even events happening on campsites where people who apparently like 'Fun' things have found they've booked the same place.
And they're from all over the country, not just the same area.
Just sayin'. It's Friday, no 'G'

There are different rules for the non-English bits of the United Kingdom
(Don't make the mistake of calling a Cornish person 'English' any more than you would someone from Scotland)

Is Cornwall in England?
Yes.
So the Cornish are English, whether they like it or not.
Sorry

Not quite.
Cornwall is a Dutchy, like Luxembourg, Lichtenstein etc. It has Prince Charles as Head of State
It is also part of the Celtic Fringe like Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Brittany, so culturally is not 'English'.

It had it's own language until it was suppressed
It also had it's own parliament until it was suppressed when they were due to vote on which side to support during the Napoleonic wars (The vote probably would have been to fight for Napoleon)

The capitals of France, Ireland, and Wales are all closer than London

The Cornish refer to people outside the Dutchy as 'Foreigners', and they mean it.
Most would be quite happy with a customs post on the bridges over the Tamar which almost cuts off Cornwall from England.

One may joke about places such as Yorkshire ceding from England, however the Cornish actually have a valid point and whilst I don't see anything happening anytime soon, it could do one day.

It's worth spending some time reading up on Cornish history, it's very different to English history until the late middle ages and even then it only comes into line with England after about 1700.

Update
Rally is with CMC - Leicester East
40 vans
Not a problem but I thought all rallies cancelled for this year but they are not apparently so I will get booking

Not so! During the Civil War,, Cornwall supported the King, after the Roundheads won, Cromwell suspended the Cornish Stannary, (parliament)
After the war was over and Charles2 was restored to the throne , Charles 2 paid for a Church to be built in Falmouth (Charles the Martyr), in recognision of the part the "Cornish Army " played in the Battle of Lostwithial and the siege of Pendennis Castle, when asked to restore the Stannery, he instead made his eldest son The Duke of Cornwall, the title would go on in perpetuaty, every eldest son of the monarch would be the D of C. He realised even then that there could only be 1 law making facility in the country! and it had to be The "English Parliament"

By the time Nappy came along the Stannary was long gone.

Yeah, but does Cornwall have devolved government? No.
QED.
Part Of England.
Thus all Cornish are English.
But not all English are Cornish.
Them's the facts but perhaps not what you'd prefer.
