Currently just south of Perth.
Just wanted to say what a horrible noise rain on a Motorhome roof is, and so difficult to get away from.
41/2hours yesterday!

I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
Quite like the sound of the rain personally, as long as it's not for days on end. It's the Spanish wind that bothers me.

I don't mind it for an hour or two except I get a bit neurotic listening for drips. Under certain circumstances, I get a leak down the winding handle on my main roof light. Usually when perfectly level and water pools on the roof.
It's thunder and lightening I try to avoid as the dog hates it and barks relentlessly.

I'm a Progressing Newbie
I hate it if you are under a tree where it drips unevenly on the roof and for hours after the rain has stopped. 😟
And the rain collects on leaves before dropping to make BIG noisy raindrops 👀
I had to move the Motorhome forward a couple of metres 😳
Luckily we have a huge pitch at Wellington Country Park 😀

After last night at Tan Hill I think I prefer rain to wind noise... It's blowing a hoolie up here... Or as the locals call it.. a gentle breeze!

That is why we headed East, presently at North Berwick, lovely day yesterday, though very windy and wet last night. We were in the Highlands but weather drove us away. Gradually heading back south.
