I've got a Ducato 2004 base with a factory fit radio/CD player.
Some form of rubber aerial on the wing.

Radio reception is awful, can hardly hang onto any station.
Ok, I thought, I can live with that, I'll play CDs.
Except they jump at every little bump on the road.

So can anyone recommend a decent budget replacement?
Not fussed about Bluetooth or DAB but would like mp3 and/or USB capabilities.
Decent radio reception too, which might (probably) mean a replacement aerial.

The final requirement is fitting - I don't do diy.

Awful FM reception is a recurring theme with motorhomes I'm afraid. A replacement FM aerial that gives perfect reception is the holy grail.

Your best bet really is DAB with a new DAB antenna either windscreen or wing mirror mounted depending on access. It still won't be perfect but it will be many times better.

Can't help with the CD question. Don't own any any more, all my music is on iPods. Pretty much anything you buy now will have some sort of USB capability.

As for fitting just check locally. It shouldn't be too expensive. I think Halfords do it if you buy the unit from them.
