R V Wall Light

    My wall light has been blowing fuses and bulbs like crazy..................turns out to be the centre divider between the contacts is missing.

    So if anyone has a 12v brass wall light knocking about.........................pm me please :Smile:

    why replace it just put a insulator between the terminals, electrical tape or even cardboard. job done.

    I have tried but nothing worked, best get a new one me thinks ;)

    Nice bit of cardboard should do the trick

    sounds like the cables are wound up and insulation has broken down , in which case even a new fitting will have the same result, remove the fitting and check the cables for shorts

    Thanks for the replies guys :winky:

    Update:

    I took it off the wall, stripped it down, all wires were fine and not broken, everything tested good on the electrics and I pulled the wires out of the wall to look for breaks.

    Turns out it was me trying to put 1 conection bulbs into a 2 connection bayonet lmao! :ROFLMAO:
    Got the right bulbs and it works now..................Feel free to happyslap me anyone :Cool:

    why oh why do they mix and match bulb types in RVs.. :RollEyes:
