Gobsmacked. Loved their music since 'Matchstick Men' back in 1967. RIP Rick.:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Loved "Matchstick Men" after hearing it on an early album along with "Like Ice In The Sun" or something similar. I never grew to be a massive Quo fan, but Matchstick Men has remained an all time favourite song.

RIP Mr Parfitt :(

That is a blow, one of the very best of rock and pop groups. Didn't I see Francis Rossi performing solo on TV recently, explains the story of Rick planning to go solo next year. He'll be part of one hell of a supergroup up there now. RIP Rick.

I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
Another one of those, larger than life music personalities.
The world will never see the likes of Rick and David, again, they just don't make e'm like that anymore.
So sad.
RIP:crying:

RIP Rick,,, Went to see the quo for my first time ever with @Forestboy @edgy @Brisey and @bungy at eastnor a few years back and I am so so so so glad I did. Musical legends, had such a great time even if I couldn't do the dance...

such a shame, but the music will live on.

Been to see quo every year from around 1978 best entertaining band ever. It was sad to see him missing this year and even sadder now.
Thanks for all the great riffs Rick.

Status Quo were the very first band I saw live...at the Apollo in Glasgow, circa 1973? It was a great introduction to live music. I was saddened to hear he'd died. RIP.
