QUIRKY CAMPERS - Hiring Self-Builds

We are parked on a car park on the prom at Silloth and a Self-Build Campervan parked up nearby.

It had lovely VW graphics on it and was signed up "Quirky Camper Hire" .

Was just about to take a pic and it drove off.

Googled Quirky Campers and came up with this site...

Some interesting conversions and it looks like they are hired out by their owners via the website.

Wondering if this is the website that hired out a campervan that had been built by a Funster (sorry can't remember his name) on here recently and was trashed on its return.

I found the post by Riverbankannie.
The van I saw was a very dark colour (blue?) with a large (about 4ft dia) VW logo on the side in rainbow colours. There were also a couple of porthole type windows in the side.
I only got a side view from about 50 metres distance so not even sure it was a VW but more the size of a Crafter than a Transporter.
