Not too long before we'll have to drain our water system. Not having done this before, just wondered if people use any form of cleaning agent in either the clean water or grey water systems before final draining down ?

Any tips to help us get it right would be appreciated !

Thanks, Martin

It's worth trying to clean the sludge out of the bottom of your grey tank before parking it up for a while but we don't do anything to the fresh water side, didn't even drain it last year as we used it quite a lot over the winter and it didn't get very cold.

Just use the motorhome all year round and that'll do the trick :)

I'm not sure using your mh regularly in winter is a guarantee the system will not freeze up if one night there is a sudden drop in temperature to below freezing esp if your mh is not winterised. If you are only using your mh for an overnight the system can still be drained down but use bottled water.
