Can you tow a quad like a toad

as anybody done this and what is needed

is there any problems towing a quad

any internet sites with info

towing a quad you have Four choices (1)on all four wheels with an a frame or on (2)two wheels using a bolt on towbar, either way it becomes a trailer and the law requires that where brakes are fitted they must work. (3)on a trailer is your best bet or (4)on a trailed platform. Mind you if you have a motorhome with sufficient paypload and large enough garage then no problems.

roger as it right . use a trailer .because quad tyres are very soft you would soon wear them out. better to builda light weight trailer could be very basic bit like a boat trailer wheels right at the back or very close just enough forward to get the hitch wt correct.

We have 2 quads, ramquad.com sell quad trailers with lightboard for appx £350.00 you can also buy trailers to hold 2 quads.

we have 2 CVT150e quads which are fully auto plus reverse, brought these as we were size restricted for the garage in our 5ver. Ours weigh 238 lbs

How refreshing to see that they are referred to as "quads" and NOT "quad bikes" If anything really brasses me off its the terminology, "Quad bikes" Surely Quad=4 Bi=2 Tri=3 Mono=1 So what is a quad bike? If l had an ATV 3 wheeler, would that be termed a "Quad trike"? or a "Trike bike"? Give me strength!

They call their motorcycles "Bikes" because thats exactly what they are, "Bikes", "2 wheels", Quads are called quads because they have 4 wheels! So, how on earth can they be quad bikes? Its as bad as a quadrophonic stereo!

I agree and to add to the insult is that they are taxed as PLG ours are 150cc and 6 months tax was £68.00

Pappajohn, do you not get the concept? A "BIKE" is so called because it has 2 WHEELS! BI meaning 2, as in BI-ped (2 legs) Bi-plane (2 wings) Bi-cycle (2 wheels).
It does not matter a toss weather the "Quad" has frame, transmission, engine and seating configuration, like a motorbike! Its the amount of wheels that decide weather its a quad, trike, or bike! Would you call a jet ski a bike cos the seat and engine and frame is like a motorbike?

why dont you have to wear crash hats on trikes quads or even uni cycles?
