After two coachbuilts, we now have a PVC and wonder if I can still use the old shampoos etc we have got from our coachbuilt motorhome days?
Any recommendations of what to use for the best cleaning and protection of our new to us van, its just a year old.
The windows I assume will need the same care as before.

Can I suggest you invest in Nano paint treatment by Tourshine once it’s been done, you don’t need to polish your van only wash it down with autoglym shampoo and it looks as new.

The bodywork on a PVC is no different to a car, use quality products to wash it and wax. Will keep it sparkling

When I bought a new car, I was told that it was coated with some 'stuff' to keep it looking shiny........ I now find that when I wash it and then cover it with the 'stuff' 3 caps in 2Ltr water, it just finishes up with smear and smudge marks...... anyone know what I'm doing wrong !!!!

Nick uses all the Autoglym products and our PVC always looks lovely. Our previous one was treated with Tourershine and we are getting this one done as well as is means Nick won’t have to do the waxing step which he tells me is the particularly hard work bit!

Another vote for Autoglym for the van

But wouldn't put it anywhere near my motorcycles

I am unimpressed by the paint quality on our PVC. As long as it looks reasonably clean I am not going to wax it because in the end it will still be a converted parcel van. life is too short.

To make life easier I will try out the Worx Hydroshot washer plus car shampoo and see how that goes.

I used this trio with my cordless pressure washer which worked very well.
Apply the polar blast then rinse off
Apply the Polar wash and leave to soak/make a cup of tea
Wipe down with a bucket of clear water and a wash mitt.
Now the best bit, apply the polar seal, this stuff is like Blackmagic and makes the water bead off beautifully (y)

Not the quickest way to wash the van but it was (almost) enjoyable

Another vote for Autoglym shampoo - I use almost double strength and that keeps all our vehicles very shiny and water beads off without having to wax.
