I’ve just taken delivery of a tube of Puraflex 40 from Amazon. I note it has a best before date of Jan 2021. I want to use it to attach a bracket supporting the waste valve rod under the van and also to glue back a small piece of trim. Is it going to be useable?

Send it back and get one from your local Screwfix or Toolstation most probably cheaper to.

Thanks for the confirmation.
I've spoken to Everbuild and they say don't use. I've applied for a refund from Amazon who don't want the product back! Yes product is cheaper at Toolstaion but I still have to use petrol to get there. I'm out on the road today (first time since sheilding ended!) so will detour off to get some. I need to get it sorted today as off on Thursday (whoop, whoop!)

I have bought sealants and adhesives such as this from Amazon because they were cheaper than anywhere else but often they are passed their use by date and on one occasion the date was scratched off the tube so the seller new it was old stuff. I have also bought Stixall at Toolstation and that also was out of date.

Strangely Screwfix don't seem to list it. They do Sikaflex EBT but I've no knowledge of that . Toolstation is just round the corner from them and they do have Puraflex 40.

Toolstation stock loads of Everbuild products, not sure if there is a company tie up there.

The Toolstation near me didn't have any stock so I went to Screwfix and got the Sika EBT. Looks like it will do the job I have. If it was solar panels I'd do a bit more research!
