The Whale water pump on my van pulses badly when the washbasin tap is used. It runs normally when the shower or kitchen tap is used. It has a surge damper fitted. This has only started recently. Any ideas?

See if the tap spout has a filter ring attached.
You should be able to see the join where it's screwed in the end.
Grip between finger and thumb and turn anti clockwise to unscrew.
It may be partially blocked with scale causing back pressure.

When we put our van in for its first hab service at the dealers, they noticed that our Whale pump was pulsating. It wasn't enough to worry me as I was used to this happening on our last caravan.
However they said they had "adjusted it", I naturally assumed there was some form of adjustment to the flow arrangement on or near the pump to stop this happening, am I imagining this? I have read about the in line pressure tank upgrade that a few have felt the need to fit, but I didn't want to go that far, if possible.
Thanks for any guidance.
Les
