Miners Arms at Winster have a camping field behind the pub. I think most pubs with a large carpark will allow it if you ask nicely and buy a beer.

returned having 3 nightss in peak district, used a link on here at square and compass, ÂŁ10 a night in just a field, but pub was good value and then at two national trust car parks, full of other campervans despite no overnight parking signs. despite the crowds and dreadful pot holes all over the place it was a nice break

i don't understand your comment, I am a fully paid up member and have been for over 20 years of the National trust and that allows free parking at any of their properties. The organisation would much prefer campervans there giving security to the sites overnight than left open for gypsies and thieves that happens to historical sites in other countries.

So why did they erect the "no overnight parking" signs that you mentioned ignoring then? They have consistently told me that they don't allow camping in their car parks.
Have you checked with the NT that they "would much prefer campervans there giving security to the sites overnight"?
