Getting better month by month.
The Crown and Stirup - Lyndhurst
The Filly Inn - Brockenhurst
The Royal Oak - Beaulieu
To name but a few. Don't think any are in Brit stops so hopefully won't have breeches rules:cautious:

We've stayed at the Filly, good food, nice outside area & good size car park. You can walk across the road straight on to the Forest. As long as you do not mind a bit of road noise it's a great stop.

Give them a ring. They used to have a campsite out the back. They have a large car park out the back where coaches can park. It is in Brook with direct access to the forest. It is also the site of the Rufus Stone. I drink there a lot when up this way which we are at the moment.

I've heard Popeye's is good but the landlord is picky since having some ner-do-wells stay a few months back.
