HI, planning next spring's travels. Can anyone recommend camping sites/aires and places to visit in Provence, France in May?

Many Thanks

We visited that area last September and did a post on it, have a read and feel free to ask anything I haven't covered as it wasn't totally updated.

Shed loads, where within Provence are you aiming for. Let me know what you like to do i.e cycling (flat or hills) swimming in rivers or lakes, pretty villages, out of the way gems, balcony roads, free aires, Beaux villages, mountains ? How long are you going for and how long in Provence ?

First up as it is May check out the Banon cheese festival

We love St-Remy-de-Provence. There are three campsites within easy walking distance of the centre ranging from La Bastide, quirky and good value, Pegamas, middle of the road and Mon Plaisir, more expensive but with excellent facilities and easy walk to the supermarket. Over the years we have tried them all and enjoyed each of them.

What are balcony roads?
These things !
You may now waster 16 minutes of your life working out where they are and if your motorhome can go through them
A number of these ones are en route or within Provence.
I ve done most of them on the motorbike and a few in the motorhome.
A lot have quite a drop down and the views are simply stunning on many of them
Here is where they all are

Having just stuck up the link i noticed it has "Clues" in the youtube video.
Clues are basically swimmable gorges (sort of canyons) some you need ropes and harnesses and some you dont.
Its difficult to find a website to give them all to you and again we have done many. Les Clues D'Esteron are the best ones and a seach on here for Pierrefeu and St Auban should bring up some photos (or do a search for "clue" under my name
