Does anyone have any experience with the Pronema door flyscreen cassette please, fitted as standard to our 2006 Flair? I have found a company in the UK who can supply a replacement mesh refill, but I need to remove the cassette to gain access to the mesh roller blind. There are no visible screws or fixings around the frame, which would indicate a point of removal. I have manage to remove 3 x screws from the top right of the frame, which allows a tiny bit of free movement............but not enough to progress further. 😕 Something surely needs to come away, to gain access to securing brackets/fixtures?

Our last one had three screws each side, these were into the wall and the frame went over the screw heads then slid down about 10 mm, a bit like a mirror plate

Many thanks Steve. 👍 That's the sort of thing I was looking for, and judging by the amount of movement on the top frame, that may well be the case, when I can get access to them. 😕

I have just had a "heads up" from a fellow N+B owner on Facebook, that the cassette is fixed to the frame with a strong double sided tape and sealant, which I need to cut away, and then prize off...........so that's this morning's job sorted. 😉

Cheers for now,

Jock. 🙂

Having not initially received any contact from the Italian manufacturer, I got in touch with Streme UK, who appear to be one of their agents. A husband and wife team by the name of Alex & Andy Ross, sorted out my replacement. I just need to confirm a couple of things by phone, at their request, hence stripping it down now.
Streme UK. Bucks. (01628) 481919.

HTH,

Jock. 🙂

An update....................

It has taken me this long to resolve the situation, and return the unit to full working order. (y)

Whilst Streme UK were very helpful, the Italian manufacturer Pronema, weren't, but wanted £190 for the pleasure, after keeping me waiting for weeks on end. We couldn't justify that expense on a blooming flyscreen.

In the end, having discovered that there was a decent amount of mesh left on the pole, I sourced a local (one man band) upholstery repairer to cut away the damaged mesh, and create a new hem on the good mesh, for the sliding profle. :)

Not only did he only charge £25, but there is enough mesh still left on the pole should another repair be needed, (hope not ;) ).

Having viewed photos supplied my me, he is also going to re-pad the Truck seat squabs for us, when the material already ordered arrives, with the driver's seat being the most needy.
