Well done finding and posting this Sandra. :clap2:

Using the search box, it looks like quite a few Funsters are using the cbe csb2, so this thread could do with being bumped to keep it towards the top of the pile.

I would certainly be a tad worried if I had one fitted on our van. o_O

I think my understanding of it is that it’s the 2021 onward vans though I might be wrong. I hope I’m not though as I know we have one in our van, at least I think we do 🤔

Yes indeed, thank you irnbru - I fitted one of these, (which works brilliantly by the way).

I think mine will predate the recalled batch (presuming the indicated serial numbers reflect month and year), so I'm probably not affected. None the less I'll disconnect it now, and then remove it and have a look for the serial number in the morning).

Thanks again.
Barti Ddu.

Thank you irnbru I only fitted one to my VW Transporter 2 weeks ago and it does get really hot my serial number is 04 22 and the recall is up to 03 22 so I’ve disconnected it for safety and sent the company an email with my serial number, fingers crossed mine will be ok.

John.

I sent an email to the company in Italy with my serial number this dinner time thinking that they would get back to me sometime on Monday. Anyway 4 30 pm this afternoon a reply saying that my CSB2 unit is not in the recall batch and it’s normal for the unit to get hot in use.
Thanks again irnbru for posting this.

John.

Having isolated it on Friday, now had time to remove it and check the serial number. As I suspected, mine just predates the recalled batch.

Thanks again though to irnbru for highlighting the issue.
