We are Newbies...
Hello - Can anyone help us with Motorhome choice?
We are oscillating, literally, between secondhand Frankia, Hymer, Carthago, Niesmann-Bischoff. Probably 2011/14. Which of these 4 berth, @8metres would you go for?
We will be living in it on and off and travelling many miles to hot and cold places...we hope! A bit concerned about Pilote group time to send spares... is there an issue?
Pros and cons from you lovely fun experts, or is one of them a clear winner, please? Thank you x

I don't think you can go far wrong with any of those brands.

Spares for the base vehicle should not be a problem, as for the body a few dealers keep a stock of some parts but fear not,a lot of the internals are used by more than one maker. Example Hymer and NB share parts. I have seen the draw catches on our Carthago in other vans too.

Windows and blinds are easily obtained from parts suppliers, of which there are many.

Living in it on and off will require a decent storage and payload to start with so I would be looking at that and deciding what chassis ie FWD or RWD will work best, we had a N+B Flair for 8 years so I am slightly biased(y);)

” is the thief of time”. As you know!

Theyre all good……couldn’t put a fag packet between ‘em. Buy the dealer might be the decider, if you’ve got a good one, stick with them…..a very rare breed!
