newbie, just for a couple of years
Hi has anyone experienced brake issues when pulling your Towcar on an A frame? when i have the brake rod connected the car brakes everytime but then keeps pressure on the brake pedal so the brakes are on and start overheating. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

What type of braking system is it -overrun or electronic.
If overrun do you have a bungee strap that attaches to the seat to pull the brake pedal back, ours does.

First I would check that the coupling is extending properly. Pull the motorhome forward gently and make sure there is slack in the rod. If this is ok then check the bowden cable is moving freely. When mine was fitted they installed a bungee under the drivers seat to hook round the brake pedal to help it release after braking. Have you got a bungee?

Bungee cord to pull the brakes off :Eeek:
And they wonder why these things are banned in other countries
My one works fine without it, it just helps to take up any slack. Crude but effective.

An elastic band to release brakes indicates a poorly manufactured or fitted/adjusted system. NO ifs, and's ,or buts
1000s of adapted disability cars use a hand control and
operated cable system using the same cables and technology.
not a single one of those needs a bungee to make it work properly.
Bungees also fix steering wobble apparently, So does a correctly set up steering system
