Some advice please. Have the opportunity to buy "LO57 SUN" plate for the campervan. I think it says " lost sun". Am I deluded? Comments please, do you see it?

Yes, that is what I worked out .... go for it as it will make you smile every time you see it (and other people will enjoy it as well).

Our plate says "WE 16 DUX" :)

I would, but keep it legal, don’t “bend” the letters as the authorities don’t like it

(I’m typing this with a smile, it’s not a criticism)
I see the “Lost sun” part, just not seeing why you would want it?
I have been told (quite a lot) that I’m too literal, so it’s probably me!

Ours is JH 51OUX - my initials and wife’s name and yes that IS how she spells it Sioux (long, boring story but she’s had it since P4).

I have private plates but must say I don't get the one you want to buy, it doesn't jump out as obvious unless 'fiddled with' which could leave you in trouble

I would look for something else at front more personal to me then the sun or another word at end

but its only my opinion, you do what feels right to you :)(y)

In our glorious socialist paradise we don't have such things as personalised number plates.

But go for it, your government needs as much revenue as possible from whatever sources - who knows, some of it may be used to fill a pothole or two.

I don’t see “Lost Sun”, and I don’t know what that means. And I don’t understand personal plates anyway.

But more importantly - if owning it makes you happy, it’s your money and you shouldn’t let anyone else tell you how to spend it, and you shouldn’t care what anyone else thinks.

    Two words:

    Cost Benefit.

Only you can decide where this purchase would sit.

A technique I often use to help decide in a fifty fifty decision is as follows:

    Heads - Buy the plate

Tails - Don’t buy the plate.

Ignore the result, but be guided by your reaction to the result.

    Ian
