Hi We haven`t had our N+B Flair very long and have no idea where to take it for its MOT.
Its 4500 kg so i`m assuming that it cannot be MOT`d just anywhere, does anyone have any recommended service and MOT Stations in Norwich/ Norfolk. Thanks Lee

For our Flair we use a Council Fleet Maintenance place at Rougham near Bury St Edmunds, not sure if that is too far for you. It's an hours drive for us. We have been using them for a few years now, they just do the MOT and are not looking for any work as they do not offer it. Very fair and very realistic. Tel. No. 01359 270777

I use R H Turner Motor Engineers in brandon for all my MOT's and servicing, they do all the big heavy stuff, and brandon auto electrics are superb when it comes to motorhome electrics. I'm guessing maybe a 45 min drive for you depending on where you are in Norwich obviously. I'm not 100% sure but I think D.E.M Motor and Motorcaravans on Rackheath industrial estate in Norwich do Mot's for big motorhomes.

My Carthago is going to Simpsons at Gt Yarmouth for an engine service and MOT in a few weeks time.
Although they are a Fiat Professional garage they take the vehicle to somewhere else nearby for the MOT. Perhaps the same place that @ianthebuilder recommended.
Always had excellent service from them on previous motorhomes.

Richard.

Its still a standard Class 5 MOT not a class 7 for goods vehicles. So its just the case of if they have access for the size of vehicle and a ramp or pit that it will fit on.

Any normal MOT garage that can get it in the bay can do it, Motor Caravans are Class 4 irrespective of size, maximum price £54.85.

Someone told me that KL Engine Centre Ltd, at Horsley Fields, in King’s Lynn did MOT’s for motorhomes, and were very reliable.

ANY council depot that does their own vehicles IS OBLIGED to provide the service to the general public.
They service HGVs so will either have a suitable lift or a proper MOT pit.
They DONT do repair work so no reason to fail to get work.
They do charge full rate though....last one I had was £54.

Looks like the original poster is already sorted, but in case anyone else is looking further north in the county, I used Setch MOT Centre, south of King's Lynn at PE33 0BE last year and would recommend them. They do classes 4, 5 and 7 and I seem to remember their bay was big. They specifically mention motorhomes in their ads too.

Now that we are ready to book our Flair in for its next Mot and service, I thought I'd pass on my experience of last year.
Although I had booked it in with MOT shop and services on Meteor close Norwich they had re-booked it in with MOTs610 on Javelin road due to the size of our tourer. Not a problem as it was only a couple of hundred yards away.
I have nothing but good things to say about the way 610 operate, friendly and professional staff offering good advise.
It failed last time with off side head light bulb and rear numberplate bulb only, they said if I corrected these 2 fails outside the workshop they would issue the MOT. The head light not working was down to a dirty connection, I have all other bulbs in the garage accept one for the numberplate which they gave to me and once I fitted it the certificate was issued.

l can highly recommend 610 and their work so along with the service and MOT this time around I will be having the brakes bled after our month away touring France and Spain last September.
