Best pace to start looking for safari room to fit four metre autotail dakota awning
any views

we purchased one.... must have item, used it once . very heavy, takes up a lot of space, and a bit of a pain to put up. just ask yourself is it a MUST HAVE? we had the Dakota also and had more than enough space, but it was just the two of us.

always comming up on ebay and similar as said before unless it realy is a must have think long and hard i think there are more safari rooms in garages and lofts than in vans

The life of our safari room

Bought our previous MoHo with safari room as the owner left it in.

Got it out once to try it, looked ok but a lot of effort, Put it back,
carried it around for 2 years,
then took it out and stored it in the shed for 3 years
Put it back in the MoHo when we sold it.

Current MoHo did not have one when we purchased it and not bought another one...

Our safari room is in the garden shed along with the drive-away. We've bought a small wind barrier thing which sometimes gets used with the awning.

Just bought one on Fun. It weighs as much as MH, tricky to erect but what an asset when it is up. Real quality. This is Omnistor.

Do you know what, your question just caused a discussion here in MoHo HQ. We agreed that even though we see loads advertised in mags, shows etc - we have NEVER seen one fitted to a MoHo on a site or wilding.
We had one with ours and on first attempt of fitting it went straight on ebay that night, Jesus, it weighed a ton - we have two others though which are great. Long stay Motordome Excelsior, short stay Oxygen lite pump-up, up and being used within 5 mins and the latter as light as a feather too.

quite agree they are a great asset, i have only used mine once ,but then i have only had it 8 months, i dont use it if i am only stopping a couple of days, but if i am staying at one place for 4 or more days i would not be without it, i do agree with others about it being heavy though, however putting up is only 20 mins as it is a fiamma zip which seems to assemble quite well
I think for a pvc they are perfect as it gives so much room to set up table and chairs , store bikes and generally sling out all the clutter from the van

We have one and it only goes in the van when we are going to Spain for 2-3 months. Put it up when onsite in Salou, cook, eat, sit in for drinks and socialise.
Never take it or use it in the UK as we use small sites or go to rallies/motorhome shows and cant be Arsed to put it up for a long/short weekend away.
Only 30 days until we go there, our son, daughter in law and granddaughter are all looking forward to staying in our house so can use or hot tub and large (10ft dia ) pool providing the weather is good enough to use them.
Usually quite lucky here with the weather, Dundee is Scotland sunniest city

I have Omnistor Safari room for sale, came with our Bolero, in what looks like new condition. Bolero has a 4mtr recessed awning. If other haven't put you off you,lol find it on EBay from 24th.

Oh forgot to say its ok if you tow a car or like me with my motorbike as transport but once your privicy room is up you loose your means of transport

Handy if you have visitors to stay, otherwise only ok for UK stays of 4 days or more.
Carried under bed not that heavy, and easy to erect.

The quality is exceptional, which is why they are heavy. But if in one spot for a week or more you more than double your living space.

Ours will be erected in Italy next month.

We had ( have, it will be at the Bring and Buy cheap ) drive away awning. Again gives you the living room but the quality using ordinary cloth is just not in the same league as the Safari Room and we did drive away from it.
