Privacy Curtain (Fiamma Awning)

Hi all

We are looking for a screen (can only seem to find partial cover, as opposed to being for all 3 sides) to fit on to our Fiamma Awning rail

Just to create an extra 'room' without going down the whole Awning front (patience isn't a virtue of hubby, neither do we have the space onboard)

Can anyone kindly recommend any, please? I believe they are 'net' type material?

Hi, we bought the sun blocker end and side (long side) panels from Fiamma (at the nec show - but available online). It is great in hot countries, but not really good if raining as it just goes through the plastic/rubber mesh. Although I am sure they also do a non-mesh type panel (not sun blocker) which would be suitable for privacy.

I have an ‘all weather’ panel (long panel) from Obelink, and an Outwell Fallcrest side panel set. The Obelink panel is excellent for privacy and shade. The two Outwell panels work very well too on the whole. They can be partially or fully rolled up while in place on the awning canopy arms which is handy. The fabric is quite thin so the space under the awning feels light and airy. However in the scorching temps of last summer I found that because of this they didn’t block the sun as well as the thicker Obelink panel so it could be hot behind them. I’m thus looking at buying a single Cysgod or Comfortz Leisure panel to use in ‘properly hot’ weather!

Doing things the opposite way round to Chazzer924 I’ve also recently bought a mesh panel for the front (long) side. Again, experience taught that when it’s hot a mixture of shade and something which allows air movement is ideal. The mesh panel also works as a fly screen if the awning canopy isn’t deployed but the side door is open.

Overall, I’d say that buying the panels was well worth it. First and foremost they provide privacy which was somewhat lacking at times on site, give defined outdoor space, and make that space much more comfortable to use, since my experience of the canopy alone was that it inevitably rarely gave shade where you actually want it! They also give extra stabilisation to the roll out canopy itself, particularly the long/wide main panel as it deflects wind over the canopy rather than allowing it underneath.
